What Aquaint does

Our app helps teams run their daily checks, food safety and team communication from a phone, instead of paper checklists and WhatsApp groups. We started in hospitality, so pubs, restaurants, cafes, bars and hotels, and now work with care homes, gyms and warehouses too. More than 80 brands and 2,000 people use it across the UK. We are a small team, so you work directly with the founders and see how a whole business runs, not one corner of it.

Two roles. Pick the one that sounds like you.

Sales

Trainee Sales Development Representative

You work with Rohan, who ran pubs and restaurants for ten years before moving into tech.

What you'll do
  • Find pubs, restaurant groups, care homes, gyms and other multi-site businesses that could use Aquaint
  • Message them by email and LinkedIn, and pick up the phone once you are ready
  • Keep our customer database up to date
  • Sit in on demos and learn how software gets sold
What you'll learn
  • How business-to-business sales works, step by step
  • CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, lemlist and AI tools
  • Confidence talking to business owners

Good fit if you are curious and like talking to people, or want to get better at it. No cold calling on day one.

Content

Trainee Content & Marketing Executive

You work with Jayden, our founder, and alongside the sales team.

What you'll do
  • Film and edit short videos for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
  • Help make our Innsights interview series with hospitality operators
  • Write blog posts, newsletters and web pages
  • Report on what performed and what to change
What you'll learn
  • Canva, CapCut, our website CMS, email tools and AI tools
  • How to write for a public audience
  • How to read the numbers behind content

Good fit if you already make videos or posts for yourself, however informally, or have an eye for what makes people stop scrolling.

What you leave with

01
Six months of real experience at a tech company, and a reference
02
A track record for your CV: demos booked, campaigns run, content published
03
Hands-on skills in the tools employers look for
04
Help with your CV, LinkedIn and interview prep before you finish

We will be honest with you: a permanent job at the end is not guaranteed. It is possible, and either way you leave with more than you came with.

Our last placement joined with no industry experience. Six months later he landed his dream job. We wanted to keep him. That is the result we want for you too.
